WAE Academy: understand deeply, achieve excellence

WAE Academy is an online academy for international-school students across the Gulf and Egypt. Our specialist teachers prepare students in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biology and English for IGCSE, O Level, IAL, AS & A Level and AP exams, with every course matched to the student's exact exam board and syllabus code.

Why the name "WAE"?

WAE comes from the Arabic word wā'ī (واعٍ): a person who is truly aware.

In Arabic, to really learn something is to become aware of it. Ignorance gives way to understanding, and what was dark in the mind becomes clear. That is the goal of every WAE lesson: not memorising for one exam, but understanding so deeply that knowledge becomes part of you, and knowing how to learn the next thing on your own.

From the founder

"I am a self-taught learner. Since I was fifteen, I have taught myself almost everything I know beyond the classroom: fifteen years of learning how to learn. That journey taught me that the most valuable thing a teacher can give is not the answer, but the awareness to find it. WAE Academy is built on that belief."

Nine years teaching chemistry in international schools. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Bachelor's degree in Education, and a Master's degree in Curriculum Planning and Instruction.
